Hello Meterians!

Welcome to the Meter Monthly for March 2021! This was a huge month because we launched our fully-featured mainnet, with staking and on-chain auctions!

Check out everything that has happened in the past month.

We launched the fully-featured “Tesla” mainnet

The new release was deployed to the mainnet on March 19th, 2021 at 1am UTC!

This launch includes mainnet MTRG staking as well as on-chain auctions.

The mainnet will start with 300 validators capacity in the consensus group and we will gradually expand to support more validators in the coming months as the code gets more mileage out in the wild.

To read more about the release and how to stake MTRG, read this post. Over 30% of the circulating MTRG is being staked!

We’ve made changes to the eMTRG liquidity mining program

As a result of governance votes, we’ve made some important changes to the eMTRG liquidity mining program. The first batch of rewards have been distributed yesterday.

These changes include:

  1. Removing the liquidity mining reward for the Balancer 90/10 pool.
  2. Allowing Uniswap eMTRG-ETH liquidity providers (LPs) to dual-farm eMTRG and STACY on Chadswap.

Read more about the important details of these changes here.
